“Life Happens Here”
Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009Any Guiding Light fans out there? Because I went to “Springfield” yesterday (aka Peapack, NJ):
I shot some new Petside.com videos on the Guiding Light set yesterday! It was bittersweet to be there; the show ended its 75-year run in October. I used to watch the show way back when, so it was cool to hang out in “Reva’s house.”
Here I am pre-make-up, with my too-layered Joan Jett-esque hair.
Notice the papers sitting on the counter to the left … yeah, my scripts. I wasn’t quite on top of them, so I crammed every chance I got, even right before the cameras rolled (check out the reflection in the window – were they waiting for me? Also notice that they’re wearing hats and coats … I suffered for my art.)
Shakespeare, my acting partner, had never had peanut butter before, and it was critical for the scene.
“Wha? No peanut butter??”
Thankfully he decided that he liked it. Shakespeare is open to new experiences when he’s acting.
It was a really fun day. Great location, great dogs, great crew, and hopefully, great videos!
