Who Are You?

I’m embarrassed to admit that when I show up at a new client’s home, there’s a very good chance that I’ve forgotten what type of dog I’m about to meet. (I blame the volume of calls and e-mails I get coupled with my undiagnosed early-onset dementia.) Happily, I can usually roll with whatever 4-legged friend awaits me.

Saturday morning found me once again scratching my head as I waited for my new clients to open the door. Was this the submissive urination dog? The leash puller? The guest jumper?

Nooo, this was …

Kona, aka puppy perfection! Eight and a half weeks of Golden Retriever adorableness!

Kona is now seared into my memory – there’s no forgetting that face.

Most puppies need to “grow into” their ears or their paws, but Kona is set to grow into that dog tag.

My leash-pulling guest-jumper thinks Kona is a real cutie!

I’m a little worried about you. You are starting to confuse stuffed animals with real dogs. Clearly, it is impossible that something that soft, fluffy and perfectly cute can be real. No way. Puppies that adorable cannot exist in normal time and space.
