Outtakes

I was going through some of the photos I took for my book and I discovered that I have a helluva lot of outtakes. I initially thought that I’d take most of the photos against a white backdrop … the pics would be clean, artistic, and easy to fix up in Photoshop. I didn’t consider how darn slippery and intimidating the massive backdrop would be for my canine subjects. (Zeke and Sum pose on it all the time, but modeling is in their blood.)
Little Eli wanted nothing to do with it. He strrrreeettttched his body in order to reach the treat-stuffed toy, but always kept one back foot on solid ground:
I attempted the backdrop set-up with Louie the puppy (seen in yesterday’s post) but abandoned it after that session. Too much coaxing and not enough posing.
Feline models, however, weren’t fazed by the inhospitable conditions:
